JEREMY BARKEY
QB Coach, Camp Director, and Former Michigan State QB
A native of Warren, MI, Jeremy Barkey graduated from Warren Woods Tower High School in 1997. As captain of the football team, Barkey helped lead the Titans to a 7-2, Division Championship season in his senior campaign, capping a 3 year varsity career. After beginning his college years at Olivet Nazarene University, Jeremy transferred to Michigan State University where he was a member of the football team, playing Quarterback and Tight End, from 1998-2000. In 2001, he served as an undergraduate assistant for the football staff at MSU.
Jeremy has been a public school teacher and coach for 7 years, coaching quarterbacks from the Freshman through Varsity levels. Coach Barkey is entering his first year as the Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach at the new Pontiac High School for Macomb County Hall of Fame Head Coach Greg Ganfield. As founder and director of the Pinnacle Passing Camp, Jeremy’s ultimate goal for the camp is for it to serve as a quality skills camp where football players can receive high-level training at their position to carry with them into their team seasons and beyond.
HUSTON JULIAN
Tight Ends Coach and Former Wayne State TE
Coach Julian was a two year letter winner at Fraser High School as a WR and DB, while also lettering in basketball and track. In 1995, he was named All-League, All-County, All-Metro East and All-Suburban prior to attending Wayne State University on an academic and athletic scholarship. As a Warrior, Huston was named co-captain during his senior season and participated in the 2001 Division II All-star game known as the Cactus Bowl at the Tight End position.
Since graduating from WSU, where he earned all-academic GLIAC honors, Coach Julian has taught at Seneca Middle School in the Chippewa Valley district. As a coach, he has been a part of the Chippewa Valley football program over the past six years in various capacities on both the junior varsity and varsity level. In 2008, Coach Julian worked on the varsity level at Chippewa Valley as the tight-ends coach. The Big Reds have enjoyed an amazing run of sixteen consecutive winning seasons!
